Ear, nose and throat are part of the so-called distretto “head-neck” (or cervico-facial) district. Although the different parts may seem unrelated, their anatomical grouping means that their physiology is also often connected. In fact, problems of an infectious, inflammatory or other nature affecting one of the districts can cause alterations in the physiological state of the adjacent structures.
