Alpha-Lipoic Acid (Thioctic Acid) is an important enzyme cofactor in the Krebs cycle and is involved in all dehydrogenases in the human body. Alpha-Lipoic acid is active both in the aqueous (cytoplasm) and lipid phase (membrane) of cells.
Inositol is a carbocyclic polyol whose most important form in nature is Myo-inositol, a carbocyclic polyol that can be found in different types of food, in particular in cereals, nuts and fruit, especially melons and oranges. Inositoles, which Myo-inositol is a part of, play a biological role as second cellular messengers, i.e. molecules that can determine cellular response to stimuli from the external membrane that arrive through other substances, such as insulin.
Folic Acid is a water-soluble B vitamin. Folic Acid plays an essential role in normal amino acid synthesis, in the normal metabolism of homocysteine and in the growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy.
