Alpha-Lipoic Acid (Thioctic Acid or vitamin N) is an important enzyme cofactor in the Krebs cycle, the metabolic process used by cells to produce ATP, the molecule that is primarily involved in the body’s energy metabolism. Alpha-Lipoic Acid is the essential cofactor for the functioning of all dehydrogenases in the human body. Alpha-Lipoic Acid is active both in the aqueous (cytoplasm) and lipid phase (membrane) of cells.

TIOBEC® 600 can be taken also by people who are gluten or lactose intolerant or sensitive.
It is best to talk to your doctor before using the product. In rare cases, lipoic acid can cause hypoglycaemia.
