Cebral®

In the neurological field, a patent has been filed for the association of Alpha-Lipoic Acid and Vitamin D₃, which is exclusive to Cebral^®.

Alpha-Lipoic Acid (Thioctic Acid) is an important enzyme cofactor in the Krebs cycle, the metabolic process used by cells to produce ATP, namely the molecule that is primarily involved in the body’s energy metabolism. Due to its chemical characteristics, Alpha-Lipoic Acid can interact with many substances, including free radicals, neutralising their oxidising action.

Vitamin D (1600 I.U.), whose receptors are distributed throughout the body, in addition to its well-known ability to support the normal absorption/use of calcium and phosphorus, performs an important function in the cell division process, which is essential for cell replication and tissue repair.

The association is supported by the presence of pantothenic acid (Vitamin B₅), which contributes to normal synthesis and metabolism of vitamin D and of certain neurotransmitters and to normal mental performance.

Phosphatidylserine is a glycerophospholipid that is mainly present in the central nervous system. It supports the integrity of cell membranes and facilitates their permeability, playing a primary role. In particular, it is formulated in Cebral^® into different complexes with phospholipids, a useful technology to promote the bioavailability of Phosphatidylserine.

Homotaurine is an organic compound and an analog of taurine, one of the most abundant amino acids in the brain. Due to its chemical characteristics, homotaurine has been studied in the neurological field in the physiology of cognitive processes.

The formula is enriched with B vitamins. In particular, Riboflavin (Vit. B₂), Niacin (Vit. B₃), Pantothenic Acid (Vit. B₅), Vitamin B₆, B₁₂ and Folate (Folic Acid) which reduce tiredness and fatigue. Moreover, Vitamins B₁, B₂, B₆, B₁₂ and Niacin promote normal energy metabolism and a healthy nervous system, while Vitamin B₂ contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and to good eyesight. Vitamins B₆, B₁₂ and Folate contribute to the normal metabolism of homocysteine. Lastly, Folate, Niacin and Vitamins B₁, B₆, B₁₂ support a normal psychological function.

Take 1 sachet a day, preferably on an empty stomach (at least 1 hour before or 3 hours after a meal), dissolving the contents in a glass of water (200 ml).

It is best to talk to your doctor before using the product. In rare cases, lipoic acid can cause hypoglycaemia.
